Hi, my name is Heidi, and I am sort of an eco pioneer, my house is built out of a lot of what would have been waste products, we have some amazing wildlife here and we would like to make sure we do what we can to preserve it for the future generations.
NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE REALISE THAT IT IS THE LAW TO DISPOSE OF OUR WASTE RESPONSIBLY, WHICH MEANS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US SHOULD CONSIDER WHAT IS THROWN WHERE.
I have composed a list to help you, in an ideal world you may even continue the good habit where ever you go.
We have decided not to provide single use plastic water bottles, the water filter is changed regularly and the chart on the wall is for your confidence in us.
If you can leave your hot tub full on departure, we will use the water for our plants.
My favourite saying:”if you think you are to small to make a difference, you have never been in a room with a mosquito”.
We would be truely grateful if you could seperate the rubbish as follows:
There are 3 bins outside your front door: P T O
1-The grey small food bing hanging up above lrge bins: Place all food cooked and uncooked, no matter what it is in here.
2- The bin with a clear liner dry mostly cleaned recycling rinsed and squashed where possible: all platsic, card, glass tins, food wrappers even soft plastics can go in here. It will be sorted and made into new things or re-used.
3-The bin with the black liner is for fowl and unrecyclable waste, this will go for incineration so is a last resort. If you have any old batteries or electrical items that you need to discard while you are here, please leave them on the side when you leave.
In the tv area is a bin for all Items we will sort through appropriately.
You have a bathroom sanitary bin for all personal items not suitable for recycling: Cotton buds, durex, tampons, panty liners, sanitary pads and wipes can all go in there please, we are off grid so no flushing these as it can break our plant and shut us down .
We really appreciate your support in trying to help the planet for the future of mankind.
